"Croatia offers one of the most scenic and unique cruising experience in the Eastern Mediterranean.  Fabulous wines and seafood add to the appeal!  I cruised for a week on 3 yachts, and it was such a wonderful time on all levels that I returned in a later year with friends to charter for a week." - Michael Sawyer

3 popular itineraries:
  1. Beginning and ending in Croatia.  Dubrovnik to Split or Trogir
, or Spit or Trogir to Dubrovnik, is the most popular area.
  2. Croatia to Montenegro, or Montenegro to Croatia.
  3. Croatia to Venice, or Venice to Croatia.

Dubrovnik to Split

Fly in to Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Optional: stay ashore before boarding.
SATURDAY – Embark in Zaton Bay, a 15 minute drive from the town of Dubrovnik.  Cruising to island Sipan, one of the most beautiful of the Elafiti islands.  Dinner on board in one of the bays.

SUNDAY -  After breakfast, cruising to island Mljet (National Park); swimming and lunch in bay Polace; visit to the National Park (inland of the island).  You could hire bikes or scooters for the ride.  Dinner can be organized in the restaurant Antika in the bay or on board.

MONDAY – After breakfast, cruising to island Korcula. Anchoring in a bay near town Korcula, lunch on board, followed by swimming, watersport and relaxing on board.  Sightseeing of town Korcula later in the afternoon.  Dinner on board or on the MAHA ranch for their authentic peka dish (delicious!).

TUESDAY – After breakfast cruising to island Scedro, anchoring in a bay.  This is a peaceful area, perfect for relaxing and swimming. After lunch, cruising to Hvar and Pakleni archipelago.  Hvar town can be visited with the tender.  Hvar is the most popular town in this area.  It is incredibly beautiful and sightseeing there is a must.  You might want to stay in this area for another day, particularly if you like being in the most popular places.  Alternatively, you could spend a couple of days around island Vis, in a quieter area.

WEDNESDAY – Cruising to island Bisevo, near Vis, visit to the Blue Cave.  Overnight in front of the charming port Komiza.

THURSDAY – Cruising to the Budikovac bay (this whole area around island Vis is quite remote and stunning); swimming, water sports, lunch on board.  Cruising to Vis town for overnight.  Dinner on board, or out (there are several restaurants that we can recommend in Vis).

FRIDAY – Cruising to island Solta, to one of the bays for swimming and lunch.  Option to spend the night at historic Stari Grad (UNESCO Protected World Heritage Site), either anchored off in the bay or docked stern to in town.  Option to visit Trogir. If not, it is possible to stay in the bay and enjoy the last day on board.

SATURDAY – Disembarkation after breakfast.

Fly out from Split, Croatia.

1.  Many crewed yachts charter from 12 Noon to 12 Noon, with a week being 7 24-hour days and nights.  Charters can start and end any day of the week, and additional days at 1/7 per day more, pro rata.

2.  Some local Eastern Mediterranean yachts charter with a "week" from 5:00 PM the first day to the morning of the last day, and start and end only one day of the week.  I call this "7 nights, 6 days".

3.  The itinerary is always weather dependent, but the Captain is flexible and will go through options with you each day. This is a suggestion and it does not have to be followed exactly (and occasionally it can’t be followed due to the weather or other circumstances).
