Tahiti / French Polynesia

French Polynesia offers a fantastic world of yacht charter possibilities.
  1. Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa, Huahine: The Society Islands of Tahiti/French Polynesia are widely considered one of the world's most beautiful and romantic locations. The spectacular mountainous islands are surrounded by large lagoons for calm sailing.
  2. The Tuamotus and Rangiroa Lagoon are more remote, with exceptional diving.
  3. Moorea and Tahiti are a third option.

The Society Islands:

Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa, Huahine

Considered by many to be the most beautiful and romantic location on Earth, these spectacular and infamous islands are a superb yacht charter destination. The lagoons surrounding the beautiful mountainous islands offer calm cruising and anchorages. For the ultimate use of your time, we suggest a one-way itinerary.

Sample Itinerary

Arrive to Tahiti. Optional stay ashore before charter - the island of Moorea is an outstanding option.

Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, sublime sailing in warm trade winds, and kayaking in the indescribably beautiful and romantic Society Islands of French Polynesia. The spectacular mountainous islands are surrounded by tranquil lagoons.

Raiatea and Tahaa:
  • visit the most sacred temple in all of Polynesia (where explorers departed to populate Hawaii
  • funky Uturoa village on Raiatea
  • dinghy up a jungle river
  • hear amazing singing at a church service Sunday morning
Sailing to/from Huahine and Bora Bora are half day ocean passages each way.

Approaching Bora Bora, the vibrant green lagoon colors are reflected in the bases of the clouds! Snorkel the "Lagoonarium” with reef fish, gentle rays, and, if you like, sharks! Then on to an amazing “drift snorkel” through a coral garden.

Seasons

The best sailing season is from late April through November. The trade winds are blowing then and they are usually moderate (10-15 knots) from the NE. July can sometimes get stronger trade winds (15-20 knots). July & August are considered the peak season, but only due to peak tourist volume.
